0-2 for Notre Dame Games

We watched the first Notre Dame game of the 2007 season today against Georgia Tech. The last Notre Dame game Sophie saw was the bowl game, which we lost. We lost again today - maybe it's the green jersey we put Sophie in?

We watched the game at the Cal tailgate at Haas in the courtyard. Our friend, Jeff, set up a TV using the satellite dish from Haas outside and we all set up camp chairs and picnic blankets. It was a blast. Jeff and I brought the pack'n'play with us so Sophie could nap. We found her a quite hallway (yes... a hallway) and set it up along with the baby monitor. We checked on her once in a while, but all was fine. Sophie is still like clockwork, so at 45 minutes I went to check on her, and stumbled upon 4 police officers slowly approaching the pack'n'play and Sophie staring up at them about to let loose.

I swooped in, picked her up before she started to cry, and explained myself to the perplexed officers. But then I turned the tables on them - asking them if they woke her up. It was pretty funny to see them backpedal and instead of being suspicious of me, immediately switch gears into being concerned that they had done something wrong themselves. Jeff and I had a good laugh about it, but I don't think it was our best parenting decision to have her sleeping in the halls of Haas.
