Jeff has finals this week, so he's been pretty busy. He often will have to run out the door to make a bus or a meeting someplace and inevitably, Sophie loses it for 5 minutes. Then she goes about her business, but stops once in a while to look up at me and ask "Bye Bye DaDa?" almost like she's asking, "is he still gone?" It's very sweet and Jeff is touched. It's one of those toddlerisms that we want to preserve.
Happy Mother's Day to all my friends with kids; hope your weekend is terrific and very relaxing! Of course I wish Happy Mother's Day to our moms too (and grandmas). Jeff and I are so lucky to have our moms and all the help and support they give our little family. We know it, and we hope they know we know it too :)
