Sophie celebrated Christmas in 3 parts. On Christmas Eve, we went to church at 3, and then came home and had a wonderful dinner and celebration with Sophie's grandparents, aunts and uncle (the immediate Rauenhorsts). We opened a few gifts, and Sophie really enjoyed playing with all the ribbons and boxes. Sophie got a Piggy Bank from Uncle Matt that has been super fun, and Auntie Kristine gave Sophie a Christmas sleeper outfit and Santa hat, which were a big hit with everyone. Sophie looked SUPER cute in them.
On Christmas morning, we all got up early and enjoyed ourselves. We headed over to Gerry's (great-grandpa's) for brunch with the extended Rauenhorsts (Goldmans, Mahoneys, and Joe Rauenhorsts). Sophie and Nadia celebrated their first Christmas together with a picture with their daddies.
After the afternoon nap, we had our final Christmas celebration with the Dolan great-grandparents and Auntie Marisa. We had a lovely dinner, and opened a couple more gifts. The biggest hit was a doll from Aunt Sarah. As soon as Sophie saw the box she started to yell 'DA! DA! DA!", which we interpreted as DOLL! DOLL! DOLL! She wouldn't stop saying it until she had the doll in her hands. Very cute.
