Yesterday, we took Sophie to visit my Grandma. My Grandma loved the visit, and all the folks there seemed to get a lift from seeing her. Then Jeff, Sophie and I went to a German beer garden. We fed Sophie spazle and sausage and red cabbage and pretzels and she loved it all. It was a lot of fun, and it led to lots of conversations about traveling next summer.
We bought Sophie a push toy today, a little wooden cart that has little ducks that move up and down and clap on a wood panel. We stood her up behind it, and helped her give it a little push. Her face lit up and immediately she began to RUN around the living room cackling happily. She got so tired, but wouldn't sit down again. She just kept zooming back and forth through the living room. I think we have a little marathon runner in training.
